CHESTERTOWN, MD - Washington College swept the doubles matches and captured five of the six singles matches to defeat Franklin & Marshall College 8-1 in Centennial Conference women's tennis at the Lifetime Fitness Center.
Ranked #8 in the Atlantic South Region, Washington's (11-3, 6-0 Centennial Conference) victory raises the Shorewomen's record to 5-11 all-time against the #12 Diplomats (7-4, 3-3 Centennial Conference).
The Diplomats' victory of the match came at #2 singles as Elizabeth Denenberg (Sr., Wilmington, DE/Sanford School) dropped Kristen Hossick 7-6 (7-5), 6-1.
Franklin & Marshall (7-3, 3-2 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on April 8 at Washington College. Match time is set for noon.
