LANCASTER, Pa. – For the third time this season the Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team swept its opponent. Today, the Diplomats dominated McDaniel 9-0 and added another Centennial Conference (CC) victory to the book. The Diplomats improved to 9-6, 5-1 CC on the year, while McDaniel fell to 4-8, 0-6 CC.

Paul Salierno and Tim Belford each swept their opponents. Salierno defeated Aaron Waltemeyer in the number five spot 6-0, 6-0, and Belford overpowered Luke Schmidt 6-0, 6-0 in the number six spot. Cameron Relic defeated Ben Faber by scores of 7-5, 6-1.

In the number two spot, Samuel Stone earned a 6-3, 7-6, (7-4) win over Dan Hovorka. Peter Bookman allowed Steve French one game per set, earning a 6-1, 6-1 victory in number three. Tolly Taylor beat Justin Ward in the number four 6-4, 6-1.

Doubles competition went just as smoothly, with Bookman and Ross Silverberg earning a win in the number one spot with an 8-2 victory over Faber and Hovorka. The number two pair of James Tunner and Doug Silverstein defeated French and Ward 8-1, and Josh Calo and Salierno beat Tim Foley and Schmidt by an 8-2 margin in the number three spot.

The Diplomats return to action on April 17 with an 11 a.m., CC match-up at Muhlenberg.
