LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall claimed wins in four singles and two doubles matches, handing Bryn Mawr a 6-3 defeat in Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis action Friday. The Diplomats improved to 6-7, 2-5 CC as the Owls fell to 2-13, 1-6 CC.

In number two singles, Danielle Weiner defeated Elizabeth Wiseman 6-2, 6-3. Dana Russo swept Leah Raj 6-0, 6-0 in the number three spot, and Valeri Harteg defeated Melanie Shafer in the number four spot 6-1, 6-4.

Katie Ertel earned a 6-0, 4-6, 6-1 in the number five spot over Elizabeth Olecki. Meredith Lackey fell to Anna Perocchi 6-3, 6-0 in the number one spot.

Lackey and Weiner earned a 8-4 number one doubles win over Perocchi and Wiseman. In the number two spot, Harteg and Ertel ran past Raj and Elizabeth Ver Hoeve 8-1.

F&M returns to action on Saturday, April 17 with a CC match-up at Muhlenberg. The match is scheduled for 11 a.m.
