GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall dropped a 6-3 match to Gettysburg in Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis action Wednesday afternoon. F&M fell to 1-12, 1-6 CC while the Bullets improved to 8-4, 4-3 CC on the season.
F&M started out strong when
Anya Sahaydachny and
Danielle Weiner defeated Katie Taylor and Bev Keyes 8-6 at No.1 doubles. The Bullets took the next two matches in doubles to go up 3-1. Sahaydachny took down Taylor 2-6, 6-3, 10-6 in No. 1 singles action to tie the match at 2-2. Weiner picked up a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Kylle O'Sullivan to put F&M up 3-2. Gettysburg responded winning the next three matches to come away with the 6-3 win.
F&M returns to action on Saturday when the Diplomats host Ursinus at 11:00 a.m.
