CARLISLE, Pa. - Dickinson defeated Franklin & Marshall 8-0 in Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis action on Wednesday. The Diplomats fall to 6-9, 3-6 CC with the loss, while the Red Devils improve to 14-3, 7-2 CC with the shutout win.
The Red Devils swept the six singles spots and took the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles points, while the No. 2 doubles match was unfinished for the 8-0 final.
Dana Sleeper went toe-to-toe with Dickinson's Brittany Zoll at the No. 3 singles spot, but came up short in three sets, 7-6 (7-5), 4-6, 10-5, in the closest match of the day. Julia Fiala also dropped a tight match, falling to Nora Hajnoczky at No. 4 by a score of 7-6 (6-3), 6-4.
F&M returns home on Saturday for its final contest of the regular season, a 12:00 pm matchup against Bryn Mawr in CC action.
