F&M Outlasts Gettysburg

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's tennis team extended its winning streak to five matches with a narrow 5-4 victory over Gettysburg on Wednesday afternoon in Centennial Conference (CC) action. The victory moved the Diplomats' record to 11-4, 6-1 CC, while the Bullets fell to 6-7, 2-5 CC.

Ranked at No. 8 in the Atlantic South Region, F&M continued to excel in double's action. The duo of Caitlin Rummelsburg and Anya Sahaydachny picked up an 8-5 victory at No. 1, while Emily Gruenberg and Rachel Weinstein teamed at No. 3 for the 8-5 win.

Rummelsburg also led the way in singles with a straight-set 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1, while Nicole Russo was solid with a 7-5, 7-5 decision from the No. 2 spot. Marissa Rohner rounded out F&M's victories with a marathon 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, 6-2 triumph at No. 5.

The Diplomats return to action on Saturday when F&M travels to Ursinus for a 1:00 p.m. matchup.
