SALISBURY, Md. – Franklin & Marshall's women's tennis team battled Salisbury on Saturday afternoon but came up short by a 6-3 score.
Ranked No. 11 in the Atlantic South region, the Diplomats fell to 1-2, while the No. 8 ranked Sea Gulls improved to 6-1.
By the Numbers
Salisbury took a 2-1 lead after doubles action, with the No. 3 duo of Allysan Breece and Gavriel Rubenstein earning F&M's lone win by an 8-4 tally. The Eagles went on to take four of six singles matchups with three coming in straight sets.
Emily Gruenberg (No. 4) and Alexandra Collins (No. 6) each downed their opponents in three sets for the Diplomats.
