COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's tennis team clinched a spot in the upcoming Centennial Conference (CC) Tournament with a 6-3 win over Ursinus on Saturday afternoon in its regular season finale.
The Diplomats improved to 9-10, 7-3 CC with the win while the Bears dropped to 9-7, 2-6 CC.
By the Numbers
F&M continued its strong play in doubles competition by taking the 2-1 edge on the day. In singles, Gavriel Rubenstein sealed the match with a straight-set win (6-3, 6-0) at No. 5. Rubenstein has been on fire as of late, winning eight straight competitions while teammate Nicole Russo (No. 1) continued a seven-match winning streak. All of the six singles contests were determined in straight sets.
