LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's tennis team got its season back on track Saturday with a dominant 9-0 shutout of Centennial Conference (CC) opponent Haverford in Lancaster.
The decision improved the Diplomats' record to 3-9, 2-2 CC while the Fords fell to 5-6, 2-3 CC.
By the Numbers
F&M didn't drop a set throughout singles play including a pair of impressive 6-2, 6-0 wins from Gavriel Rubenstein (No. 5) and Allysan Breece (No. 6). The duo also teamed up at No. 3 singles for a strong performance, shutting out their opponents by an 8-0 score.
Saturday's win snapped a three-match losing streak and was the Diplomats second shutout of the season, with the other coming back on Feb. 20 against Va. Wesleyan (8-0).
