SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's tennis team saw its 2017 season draw to a close with a tough 5-0 loss against No. 40 Swarthmore in Saturday's Centennial Conference (CC) Semifinals. The Diplomats dropped to 12-5 with the defeat while the Garnet advance to tomorrow's Championship match with a 12-5 record.
By the Numbers
Each of the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matchups were closely-contested with Swarthmore taking both by identical 9-7 scores. The Garnet also secured the No. 3 contest by an 8-3 score and entered into singles competition with a controlling 3-0 edge.
Both the No. 1 and No. 3 singles matches went Swarthmore's way in straight sets to end the contest at 5-0.
