LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's women's tennis team dropped a hard-fought 5-4 decision against Centennial Conference (CC) opponent Haverford in the home opener on Saturday.
The Diplomats fell to 3-4, 1-1 CC on the year while the Fords, who are ranked No. 11 in the Atlantic South region, improved to 3-4, 3-0 CC.
By the Numbers
Doubles action saw Haverford secure an early 2-1 lead with F&M's lone win occurring at the No. 1 spot. Gavriel Rubenstein and Allison Wolters teamed up to claim an 8-3 victory.
In singles, F&M secured sweeps at No. 1, No. 5 and No. 6 but came up just short in the overall team score. Wolters was dominant at No. 1 with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph.
