FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Franklin & Marshall's women's tennis team suffered a pair of season-opening losses on Saturday, falling to No. 15 Mary Washington by a 9-0 score, before being edged by a 6-3 tally against Salisbury in the nightcap.
The Diplomats moved to 0-2 on the year.

Against Salisbury, F&M was competitive throughout by winning a pair of super tiebreaker matchups and earning a straight-set sweep. Sammi Perry rolled at No. 5 with a 6-1, 7-5 win.
First-year Cassidy Landau (No. 1) overcame a second-set loss to pick up a 10-7 victory in the super tiebreaker, while classmate Clara March Okuyama won her 10-point tiebreaker by a 10-6 tally.
