CARLISLE, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's tennis team wrapped up its 2021 season with a 9-0 sweep of Gettysburg on the road. The Diplomats (4-3, 4-3 CC) wrapped up their season with the third team sweep of the spring. They had previously defeated Muhlenberg and McDaniel by 9-0 scores.

By the Numbers

F&M controlled doubles with convincing wins at No. 1 (Cassidy Landau/Sammi Perry) and No. 3 (Caroline Ulrich/Kayley Burke). The tightest match of doubles came at No. 2 where Hayley Bidwell and Alex D'Angelo emerged with an 8-6 victory to give the Diplomats a 3-0 edge heading into singles. Perry, Ulrich, and Burke all registered 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles while each of the six F&M finished in straight sets. D'Angelo allowed just one game while reigning CC Player of the Week Landau conceded just three games. Bidwell finished off the sweep with a 6-4, 6-2 win.
