LANCASTER, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall women's tennis fell by a 9-0 scoreline to No. 25 Swarthmore on Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference (CC) action. The Diplomats (4-6, 3-2 CC) came close at #3 singles in a three set loss, but fell in straight sets across the board otherwise.
Clara March Okuyama came back from down 6-2 in the first set to snag a 7-6 (8-6) second set victory. Okuyama battled in the third set super tiebreaker, but fell short in a 11-9 final.
Mackenzie Sherman also gave her best at #6 singles, taking her opponent to the brink in a second set tiebreaker.
