HAVERFORD, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall women's tennis picked up two hardfought singles wins, but couldn't manage a point elsewhere in a 7-2 loss to No. 39 Haverford on Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference (CC) action. The Diplomats (4-7, 3-3 CC) fell behind 7-0 before pulling out the singles victories against the Fords (6-6, 1-2 CC).
Cassidy Landau and Mackenzie Sherman grabbed three set victories, as Landau escaped with a 6-4, 1-6, 10-3 win at #1 and Sherman eeked out a 6-2, 4-6, 14-12 win at #6.
F&M now plays host to Gettysburg at 4:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon at the Brooks Tennis Center on campus, continuing its stretch of CC play.
