EWING, N.J. – The Franklin & Marshall women's tennis team was defeated, 9-0, to The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) Saturday afternoon.
The pairing of Cassidy Landau and Sammi Perry fought hard in the first doubles match of the day, but was outlasted by their opponent 8-5. TCNJ cruised the rest of the way as the Lions claimed the second and third doubles matches 8-1 and 8-2, respectively.
Hayley Bidwell got on the board in both sets, but was defeated 6-1 and 6-2 to fall in her match in the No. 5 position.
Franklin & Marshall looks to rebound as it travels to Orlando, Florida for four matches across spring break. On March 13, the Diplomats play Stevens at 11:30 a.m. before taking on Macalester at 5:30 p.m.
