BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's tennis team (4-6, 2-1 CC) earned its second Centennial Conference (CC) win of the season with a 9-0 sweep over Bryn Mawr (6-3, 0-3 CC) Sunday morning.
The Diplomats cruised through the doubles matches, defeating their opponents 8-1 in all three matches. The pairing of Cassidy Landau and Mackenzie Sherman earned their third win as a duo this season, while Jenna Harrison and Clara March Okuyama claimed their first win together this spring. The pairing of Rebecca Bellick and Amelia Squires won their second match together this season in the third doubles match of the day.
Landau won her sixth singles match of the season in the No. 1 position, winning 6-3 in straight sets. Sherman (No. 2) claimed her fourth win of the spring, followed by Bellick (No. 3) earning her third victory of the year. Okuyama (No. 4), Hayley Bidwell (No. 5), and Sammi Perry (No. 6) each picked up their second win of the season.
Franklin & Marshall looks to extend the winning streak when it hosts Gettysburg Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at the Brooks Tennis Center.
