LANCASTER, Pa. – Josh Schofield, who led the Franklin & Marshall men's and women's tennis programs as head coach for the past seven seasons, has announced that he has resigned his position with the Diplomats to become the head coach at The Hill School.

Schofield experienced great success leading the Diplomats over the past seven years as he guided both the men's and women's teams to the Centennial Conference Tournament during each of the seasons in which the conference tournament was held. His cumulative success features 48 victories with the men's team and 47 victories with the women's team, while winning well over 60 percent of his Centennial Conference matches during that time.

Named the Centennial Conference Coach of the Year following the 2021 season, the Diplomats were consistently ranked as one of the top teams in the region throughout his tenure and had numerous individuals earn tremendous accolades under his guidance as 46 players received All-Centennial Conference recognition between singles and doubles play.

Franklin & Marshall's success extended well beyond the tennis courts as Schofield's squads were additionally honored as Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Teams during each of his seven seasons. His collection of ITA Scholar-Athletes included two-time Centennial Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year Sam Bellersen '21 who later returned as an assistant coach for the Diplomats following his graduation.

A national search is currently underway to find the next head coach of the Franklin & Marshall men's and women's tennis teams.
