Zuch earned four varsity letters in football and baseball. In his junior year of football, Andy tied an F&M record for interceptions in a single season with 11. He led the Centennial Conference in interceptions and was named First Team All-Conference. He was a key part of a defense, which was ranked first in the conference, allowing only 80.1 ypg. His other awards include the Game Captains' Award against Muhlenberg, Captain’s Award against Ursinus, ECAC All-Star, and Pizza Hut All-American.

As a senior, Zuch set the record for career interceptions with 18.  His awards include a Captain’s Award against Georgetown, the Defense Award and ECAC South Honorable Mention against St. John’s, CFC “Player of the Week” in the Muhlenberg game, as well as the Football Gazette “Regional Defensive Player of the Week.”  His other awards are ECAC Playoff Honor Roll, an appointment by the ECAC to the Southern Division All-Star football team, and the Football Gazette Div. III All-America team.

On the diamond, Zuch was the team's MVP in 1988 and 1990, earning All-MAC honors both seasons. He was the team's leading hitter in his sophomore (.384), junior (.358) and senior (.434) seasons.
