The greatest women's squash player in Franklin & MarshallCollege history, Green was a four-time first team All-American(1992-1995), a three-time Princeton Invitational champion(1993-1995) and two-time winner of the Betty Richey Award (1994,1995), the equivalent of football's Heisman Trophy, during hercollegiate career at F&M. She graduated from the College in1995 with a school record 103 career wins, as she became the firstplayer in collegiate squash history to record 100 career wins atthe No. 1 position.
A three-time national finalist, the Ottawa, Canada native was afinalist in the 1993 USSRA national hardball championships and the1993-1995 United States Women's Squash Racquets Associationnational collegiate singles championships. This year, she won theCanadian squash championship during the weekend of May 6, markingher first national and WISPA World Tour title. Beginning thetournament as the #3 seed, Green, ranked #48 in the world, upsetthe second seed, Lauren Wagner, in the semifinals and CarolynRussell 1-9, 9-6, 9-1 to claim her first national championship.
It marked the second career-altering tournament in less thanthree months for Green as she recorded a career breakthrough inFinland in March by winning Savcor Women's Finnish Squash Open.
