Hailing from Mumbai, India, Yogesh Panchal was a four-yearvarsity starter on the Franklin & Marshall squash team. Hejumped into the starting lineup as a newcomer and stayed thereduring his career. Panchal managed an impressive 14-4 collegiaterecord as a freshman, before posting a 23-3 the next season.Playing primarily at the No. 1 spot in his final two years, hefinished with a 20-4 record as a junior and set a school record formost wins in a season his senior year with a 24-9 mark.

He earned first team All-American honors in both 1988 and 1989and was the team MVP his senior year. During his career, the teamwas ranked in the Top 10 nationally and the squad challenged forthe national title one year. Panchal ended with a collegiate recordof 66-15 and as overall record of 81-20. The 81 wins was the mostof any squash player at the time of his graduation and makes himthe fourth winningest player in F&M history with an 80.2percentage.
