Blakeman swam as a freshman and senior, earning MVP andAll-America honors in both years. She earned All-Americancertificates in the 50-yard backstroke, and the 100-yard butterflyand backstroke in 1983. In 1986, she was an All-American in the100-yard backstroke. She established several pool and collegerecords while competing for F&M. Blakeman also representedPuerto Rico in the Pan American games. She joins her sister TanyaBlakeman in the Hall of Fame.
