Narr quickly established herself as a versatile runner when shearrived at F&M from New Jersey in 1983. Her four-year career incross country and track was liberally sprinkled with wins, courserecords, college records, and honors. The highlight of hercollegiate running career came her senior year, when the women'scross country team won the NCAA Division III national championshipand Narr was the Diplomats' top runner, finishing fourthindividually. In cross country, Narr achieved her greatestdistinctions.
She was a four-year letterwinner, three-year captain, andtwo-time team MVP. In most of the team's dual meets she competedin, she finished in either first or second place. In 1983, as afreshman, she placed 19th in the MAC championships, 26th in theNCAA regional qualifier, and 58th in the NCAA Division IIInationals. The team qualified for the nationals, where theyfinished 8th. As a sophomore, Narr placed 11th in the MACchampionships, 14th in the NCAA regional qualifier, and 53rd in theNCAA Division III nationals, all improvements from the previousyear. The team qualified for the nationals, where they placedfourth. Her junior year was when Narr made her move to the top rankof Division III runners. She won the MAC championship, placed 2ndin the NCAA regional qualifier, and 18th in the NCAA Division IIInationals to earn her first All-American recognition.
The team qualified for the nationals again and finished 4th. Inher senior year (1985), Narr and her teammates would do it all.Individually, she again won the MAC championship, took the tophonor at the NCAA regional, and placed 4th in the NCAA's to earnAll-American honors for the second time. The team won the MAC's,NCAA regionals, and the NCAA Division III national championshipunder Coach Ed Woge. The national championship was the first everwon by an F&M team on the field of competition. Narr was also avaluable member of the track team and a letterwinner each year. Sheran primarily distance events but also did relay duty. During herfirst two years at F&M, Narr was a member of several F&Mrecord-setting relay teams. Her senior year, Narr continued todominate in the distance events.
She qualified for the NCAA Division III nationals in the 1,500and 3,000 meter events. She failed to make the finals in the 1,500but finished 4th in the 3,000 meter final, in F&M record timeof 9:48, thus earning All-American honors in track to go along withher two cross country All-American honors. She earned a bachelor'sdegree in biology in 1986. She received her osteopathic medicaldegree in 1990. She is a physician at the J.F.K. Memorial Hospitalin Stratford, N.J.
