Chris Black was one of the most outstanding wrestlers torepresent F&M. As a member of the 1968-1969 freshmen team, hewon all 17 matches in which he competed. Over the next threeseasons, he had a record of 38-2-1 in dual matches and 60-7-1 indual and tournament matches. He won the Eastern IntercollegiateWrestling Association title at 126 pounds in 1972, after finishingsecond in the same event in 1971. He was named most valuablewrestler? in the 1972 EIWA championships. He won the NCAA 126-poundCollege Division championships in 1971 and 1972, earningAll-American honors as well. He is the owner of Black and Paterno,importers of cut crystal, In San Francisco.
