Carl Yoder was F&M's first All-American in soccer. He earnedthe honor as a standout right winger on the College's NCAA nationalchampionship team in 1952. He shared an F&M record of mostgoals scored in a game--four. He did that twice, once, in 1951,against Gettysburg, and again, in 1952, against McDaniel. He wasalso a talented athlete in basketball and track. In basketball, hestarted half the games in his freshman year and all the games as asophomore as a guard under Coach Woody Sponaugle. He won letters intrack as a sprinter and relay man for Coach Tom Floyd. He leftF&M at the end of his sophomore year. He later completed hisdegree requirements at Goshen College in Indiana. He still lives inGoshen where he is a doctor with the Middlebury (Ind.) FamilyPhysician Practice. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania School ofMedicine.
