Elizabeth C. Mackey, '75, is the founder of women's squash atFranklin & Marshall College. Mackey was a member and co-captainof the first varsity squash team that won its first regular seasonmatch at Wesleyan 8-3.

Before the team made the jump to varsity status, she was on thecourt in F&M's first match as a club against Penn, and playedin the 1974 and 1975 NIRSA Championships. She also participated inF&M's first Howe Cup appearance at Yale in 1973.

Mackey was the first woman to serve as president of the AlumniAssociation, assuming the post in 1982, 13 years after the Collegemoved to co-education. In 1990, the Alumni Medal was bestowed uponMackey in recognition of sustained, distinguished and outstandingservice to the College. Mackey was the natural selection to chairthis year's Legacy of Women Homecoming Committee, when the Collegeis celebrating 40 years of coeducation.

Mackey is a Senior Manager in Business Development for Microsoft,and is married to Jim Campbell '78. Their son, Alex, is asecond-year MBA candidate at the University of Chicago. Mackey hasdiscovered her adventurous side in her adult life, taking upskydiving at 53. She has also rafted the Colorado River through theGrand Canyon.
