Chris Franklin was a talented athlete who experienced anoutstanding athletic career touching three sports. He lettered forthree years in football as a defensive back. He was a starter onthe 1971 Middle Atlantic Conference championship team, creditedwith 23 solo tackles. He made his biggest contribution playinglacrosse. A four-year letterman, he was named to the MACAll-Conference team for three consecutive years and was named theconference most valuable player in his senior year. In four years,he scored 125 points on 53 goals and 72 assists. In a 1970 gameagainst Wilkes College, he set a College single game record of 13points, scoring five goals and assisting on eight others. He endedhis career playing in the prestigious North/South All-Star Classic.He also wrestled occasionally when the team was short a man in hisweight class. He earned an M.A. degree from Long Island University,and is the sales manager for KZZY-KZZW radio in San Antonio,Texas.
