Glenn H. Horst '32

One of greatest all-around athletes in F&M history, he was a quarterback on the football team, an All-Conference forward on the basketball team, and a pitcher for the baseball team. He also received varsity letters in track and golf. In all, he won 11 varsity letters. Horst once pitched a five-hit, 1-0 win against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Glenn was appointed as F&M baseball coach in 1947, leading the team to a 10-4 record and winning the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship for the first and only time in the school's history. He coached the squad for two more seasons.

He was also tapped as the men's basketball coach for the 1947-48 season.

In 1974, he was inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame.
