Mary was the first All-American women's tennis player fromF&M, putting a relatively young program among the elite in thecountry in 1982. Playing only half her freshman season, Mary wasable to compile an 8-3 record. She played as an independent as asophomore, then returned to collegiate competition as a junior,going undefeated as the No.1 singles player in the spring seasonand qualified for the Middle Atlantic Conference singles final.

Her overall record that year was 15-1. As a senior, Mary went9-1 in the spring, won the MAC singles title and advanced to theNCAA Division III singles championships quarterfinal round. Maryfinished with a 39-7 career record in dual matches and a 48-9overall slate. She achieved her outstanding record playingexclusively at the No.1 singles position, where her opposition wasalways the other team?s top player. Mary graduate with a B.A.degree in geology. She is a Lancaster resident and host of WGALTV-8's "Susquehanna People."
