An outstanding shooter and rebounder, Scott became only thesecond junior in F&M history to record 1,000 points. The team'smost valuable player in 1987 and 1988, Scott was named a three-timeMiddle Atlantic Conference All-Star and was named Conference MVP in1986-87. The 1987-88 season was spectacular in Mayser, as Scottaveraged 9.6 rebounds and 18.3 points per game. He led the team insteals with 64, topping his team best 51-steal performance duringthe 1986-87 season.
As a compliment to his amazing ability, Scott was named to theNCAA Regional All-Tournament Team, ECAC First Team, NABC First TeamMid-Atlantic District and earned NABC Division III Third TeamAll-American status. Following the 1987-88 season, Scott was namedthe Outstanding Senior Athlete Award, which is, "presented to asenior demonstrating a superior level of sportsmanship andcharacter, a team leader who has achieved a high level of athleticsuccess."
Over four years, he led F&M to a combined record of 86-30,including three conference championships (1984, 1986, 1988) andfour appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Scott's 1,663 careerpoints and 964 rebounds rank second all-time in school history.
