Chris Spahr, originally from the Main Line section of suburbanPhiladelphia, is the squash director for Greenwich (CT) Field Cluband lives in New Canaan, C.T. He was a member of both the squashand soccer teams but left his mark on the squash courts. Spahr wasa two-time captain for the Diplomats and finished his career with a58-21 overall record. He was a four-time All-American, includingsecond-team twice during his career and first-team as a senior.

Spahr helped the Diplomats finish among the top six in thecountry all four years, including two third place rankings and asecond place ranking behind Harvard in 1987. The Diplomats vaultedinto the No. 2 position in the national rankings with victoriesover fourth ranked Penn (8-1) and second ranked Princeton (6-3).During his senior season at the No, 2 position, Spahr finished withan 11-3 record, including victories over All-American Dave Proctorof Penn and Tim Slough of Nay.

According to the College Reporter, "Spahr's tenacity enabled himto retrieve balls his opponents thought unreturnable, frustratingthem into making errors."
