A native of Prospect Park, PA., Leanne quickly establishedherself as one of the premier field hockey and lacrosse players inFranklin & Marshall College history. She was an exceptionaltalent on very strong teams playing tough, competitive schedules.Changers in eligibility rules allowed Leanne to play four seasonseach of field hockey and lacrosse. In field hockey, Leanne made theMiddle Atlantic Conference All Star second team as a freshman. Thenext year she repeated as a conference all star. She led the teamin scoring as they won the MAC Southwest title on their way to a5th place finish in the Association for Intercollegiate Athleticsfor Women (AIAW) Division III national championship tournament.

In her junior year, Leanne made the all-star team again whileleading the team in scoring for the second consecutive year. Thenext year, the team won the MAC championship, finished 2nd in theEastern AIAW regional and played to a 2nd place finish in the AIAWDivision III national championships. Her senior year, everythingcame together. Leanne was the team MVP as she finished second inboth scoring and assists. The team won the MAC championship, theNCAA Division III regionals, and finished 3rd in the first NCAADivision III national tournament (which replaced the AIAWtournament). Leanne was named to the MAC Southern Division All-Starteam, the NCAA Division III All - Tournament team and finished anoutstanding field hockey career by being named a Division IIIAll-American. In lacrosse, Leanne was a four-year starter but didnot have the individual statistics that she accumulated in fieldhockey.

The team won the MAC championship three of Leanne's four years.In her sophomore year, the team finished 2nd in the EAIAW regionalsand then played their way to a 2nd place finish in the AIAWnationals. The next year, the team won the EAIAW regionals andfinished 3rd in the AIAW nationals. Individually, Leanne was namedto the AIAW Division III All - Tournament team. In her senior year,the team finished 2nd in the U.S. Women's Lacrosse Association(USWLA) Division III championship. She was named to the DivisionIII All-Region team. At the end of her collegiate career, Leannewas named the Outstanding Senior Athlete-Woman in 1983. In 1991 shewas named to the NCAA Division III Field Hockey All-Decade team.Her B.A. degree was in business management. She recently returnedfrom a 15-month, 8,000-mile bike tour and lives in Lancaster.
