Jehangir Pandole '96

Pandole began his collegiate squash career as the Diplomats'number five. By the end of his freshman season, he had climbed intothe third position. After his freshman season, he never playedbelow the number one spot in the lineup again.

Pandole was a three-time All-American, earning first team honorstwice and second team honors once. He was selected to the NISRAAll-Tournament team as a senior. He was named the team's MVP as ajunior and a senior, and served as the team's captain in his seniorseason. That year, Pandole defeated five All-Americans and all fourof his losses came against All-Americans. He did not drop a singlegame in 13 of his 15 wins and defeated two of three professionalplayers he faced. The loss was to a player ranked in the top 50 inthe world.  Pandole was also a team captain. Prior to hisarrival in Lancaster, Pandole was the 1990 Indian Junior Nationalrunner-up. In 1991, Pandole was selected to represent India at theAsian Junior Squash Championships.

As a junior, he toppled nine of his fellow All-Americans,including top-ranked Harvard's number one who went on to earn theNational Championship. Pandole finished ranked seventh in thenation by the USSRA, the second best finish for an individualplayer in F&M's history. In his sophomore campaign, Pandoletook down six All-Americans, and did not lose to a player who wasnot an All-American at year's end. At the time of his graduation,Pandole ranked second in career wins at F&M and remains in thetop ten at the time of his induction.
