Jannetta was a three-year starter and two-time CentennialConference Player of the Year in basketball. He was named to threeAll-American teams following his 26-2 junior season, and four morefollowing his 27-2 senior season (1994-95).
In 1995, he was named the Edward Garrigues ’25 OutstandingSenior Male Athlete, following a season in which he led the team inscoring (16.1 ppg), assists (4.6 apg), and steals (2.5 spg). He wassecond in three-point field goals (42), three-point percentage(39.3), and free throw percentage (84.5).
F&M was 103-12 (47-3) during Jannetta’s years. TheDiplomats made NCAA Tournament appearances in all four of hisseasons on the roster, and made it to the Sweet 16 in each of thoseyears. The team never lost an in-season tournament game, andcaptured three Centennial Conference crowns, and were ranked numberone in the nation in three of his four seasons on the team.
Jannetta finished his career tenth on the all-time scoring listwith 1,272-points (12.5 ppg), seventh on the career assists list(323 / 3.2 apg), fourth on the career steals list (2.2 spg), andfourth on the three-point field goals list (126). No player inF&M’s history was higher on all four lists at the end oftheir careers.
