Donnie Marsh is regarded as one of F&M's finest basketballplayers. He also was an outstanding baseball player and coach. Inbasketball, he helped F&M through four highly successful yearson the court--including a third place finish in the 1979 NCAADivision III National championships. He was a starting guard forfour years.

His deft playmaking and defensive talents were overshadowed inhis final two years by his alley-oop dunks, fast break jams, andhis point production--which ended with Donnie holding the F&Mrecord for most career points: 1,695. He also holds the singleseasons scoring mark with 601 points. He was named to the MiddleAtlantic Conference All-Star team for four years, was theconference MVP for three years, and earned All-American honors in1977 and 1979. He was selected the ECAC Division III Player of theYear. He was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks of the NBA in the thirdround. He was captain of both the basketball and baseball teams inhis senior year, and was selected as the Outstanding Senior MaleAthlete.
