Through hard work and great dedication, Brian becameone of the best wrestlers this school has produced in modern times.Competing at 134 and 142 pounds, Brown compiled a four-year recordof 85-14-4. His best year was 1977-78, his sophomore season, whenhe went 19-2-2. He capped that season by winning the EIWA wrestlingcrown at 134 pounds and finishing fourth in the NCAA Division Ichampionship. The fourth place national finish accorded Brown AllAmerican honors. His junior year, Brian finished second in the EIWAchampionships and placed fifth nationally.

His last year, Brian was aiming at a national championship when hesuffered a knee injury that required surgery two weeks before theEIWA championship. He literally wrestled on one leg and stillfinished second. Unfortunately, the surgery slowed him downsufficiently to prevent him from doing well nationally. A threetime MVP, Brown graduated in 1980 with a dual major in businessadministration and chemistry. Brown works in Lancaster, Pa. forKeystone-Peterbilt Inc. in a sales position. His boss is StanZeamer, who was his wrestling coach at F&M.
